Learn the movements that are fundamental to belly dance! Belly dancing can increase your muscle awareness and control while you experience the freedom to express through this ancient and evolving dance form. We will explore each signature body movements through technique breakdowns, drills, and layering to create short dance phrases that could be combined into a simple choreography at the end of the session. Come dressed in your comfortable clothing for exercise and be ready to dance. Yoga mat recommended for warm up and cool down, but not required. No prior experience needed, all are welcome! CrossFit is broad, general and inclusive fitness that seeks to prepare participants for any physical or unknown contingency. You will work on the foundational movements of CrossFit while increasing your knowledge of fundamental CrossFit exercises and increasing your work capacity. Intro to CrossFit is an introductory course that meets twice a week. You will be taught the fundamental CrossFit movements, perform a Workout of the Day (WOD) and begin tracking strength numbers. This section of CrossFit will be in the Chinook Student Center Room B40. This class can be purchased by SRC members, however, you will need to purchase a day pass each class to access the facility.

Attendees will learn the components and sub components of multidirectional speed including, but not limited to linear speed, lateral speed, Change of Direction (COD) and retreating. By attending this camp you will develop a keen eye for what the deficiency is, and how to efficiently overcome it.
